Not only did the 1-1 draw disappoint, but also the booking of Casemiro after committing a foul on Wilfried Zaha. Because Casemiro got a suspension, he will not play in the Sunday match arsenal. Therefore, the Dutch manager has to figure out how to keep his squad in strategic shape before the 22nd.
Newcastle v Arsenal
Perhaps a more surprising one, but the league leaders Arsenal and Newcastle will meet on the 6th of May 2023. Newcastle has excelled this season. Their victories are thanks to their manager Eddie Howe, who has managed to lead them through the Premier League smoothly. Although we don’t know if the teams are out of the league beforehand, this will still be an entertaining match. When spring arrives, we will see Manchester City take on the league leaders. They are already playing against each other in February, but the match in April will be more pivotal as we are closer to the Premier League final. Both Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta as managers have been impressive. Since this is a match that could decide the winners of the league, it is absolutely a must-watch match.
Predictions For The Season
Throughout the season, Manchester City and Arsenal have been the favorites. Some supercomputers calculated how Manchester City had a 74,8% chance of winning with players like Erlin Haaland and Kalvin Phillips. But since Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal strengthened with Gabriel Jesus, they are now leading the league. It isn’t clear who will end up on top. But having a Premier League title for the first time since 03-04 probably wouldn’t be too bad for Arsenal fans.
In the top four, we will also see Newcastle and Liverpool qualify for the Champions League. Newcastle surprised fans this season, getting 16 points in six league games. On the opposite side, we will likely see the Wolverhampton Wanderers relegated from the Premier League. Manager Julen Lopetegui hasn’t managed to lead his team to victory. Therefore, we won’t see them near the Champions League.
